We are looking for an experienced designer (Part I/II) or Architect to join our growing team at Resi. Being a part of the Aftercare Team, this role offers hands-on experience with Building Regulations and construction. There are other opportunities to grow across the business.
The “Senior Aftercare Designer” will be responsible for answering and supporting with technical queries into the business, delivering drawing updates and advising on-site queries. The role will support the Aftercare Specialist with client communications and work closely with the building regulations team to support their delivery. Aftercare is designed to support the client through the tail-end of RIBA Stage 4 and into RIBA Stage 5. What you can bring to the role is important as you have the opportunity to influence the team’s direction and help us make the best client experience possible in the field.

We are currently 95 people based in International House right at the heart of Brixton, South London. International House is the UK’s first Living Wage Building. Our office is both accessible and we are willing to make reasonable adjustments to accommodate successful candidates, this is not a remote role and eventually, we would expect you to attend our office in South London.
The core responsibilities of this role :
Making design, technical and detail updates for clients, and being able to communicate these changes to the stakeholders effectively
Manage workflow throughout each week and control client expectations
Supporting your team and other designers/Architects on technical queries
Advise clients and 3rd parties when on site if appropriate. Such as getting updates from engineers, contractors, approved inspectors and party wall surveyors.
Helping guide the client when they’re on site and building. This is a great opportunity for RIBA Stage 5 experience.
We are looking for people who are:
Comfortable with CAD – We use Revit and Microstaion.
Having understanding of planning policy
Able to draw robust working details and have a good knowledge of the Building Regulations in the UK
A solid understanding and passion for design
Great communication skills
Experience with troubleshooting problems on-site
2+ years experience within the residential sector in the UK
If you have experience with contract administration or project management, that’s a bonus - but not required. We can explore this together!
